Specifically look at amazing full & shiny animated 3D lower third, and 3D titles at the beginning and then throughout video. We are adding full support for flash stage 3D in explaindio slides, and also adding support for very long videos across slide sets (not just 1 animated slide like now) so you can make amazing things for live video like that.

So if you do video courses you can make them look super professional.

Of course 2D lower third and titles will continue to be supported.

Note: above video was not done in explaindio but it would be possible to do something like that if you have slides with 3D lowers third and titles.

How to properly use many videos on same slide on computer with hardware limitation.

One of Explaindio facebook group member Colin, who added many videos on the same slide, experienced the video playing much faster than it suppose too because of HDD / processor speed limitation of his computer.

General reason is that producing video with many input video streams (and animations) is very taxing on hardware.

If you have several videos on the very same slide all those must stream at the same time AND the output video must write at the same time too – all to the same HDD.

Solution:

Most video purchased / download form stock videos website has 1920×1080 Full HD resolution so if you add those 3 videos as it to the slide you computer is like computer will play 3 Full HD quality movies on 3 big TV whole at the same time playing animation and actually creating and writing the output video to same HDD. Only high end desktop computer with very fast HDD (best SDD drive) can handle such level of load.

The thing is that is it is not needed overkill. The is no need to use Full HD 1920×1080 video meant for big TV. If you have many videos on the screen all those video are small and take only small part of the display.

Therefore the solution is to convert that Full HD videos to actually resolutions they take up on the screen.

Because there is current no video converter software I know of which allows you to convert to any Height and Width the next be is to convert video 1080p Full HD video to 480p SD video before adding to Exlaindio Video Slide. I should lower your video file sizes about 8 times.

That way with 3 videos on screen you have 3×8=24 times less data to read from HDD 🙂

BTW We are working now on Explaindio Video Converter which will allow you to convert video to any Height and Width. So after done you will not be limited to just SD like with other converters but you will be able to have exact X,Y dimension of video like your video area.

If you have 2 HDD you can make it even more easy on your system load by exporting video to different HDD than the HDD you have source videos on.

Above described solution helped Colin. Colin went from having problem with created video playing 4 x faster than normal to correct speed.

I. Desktop and mobile apps.

1. Explaindio Video FX ( Adobe Air app for both PC and Mac )

This app will allow you to add about 100+ visual effect filters to your video. It You will be able to use filter to dramatically improve your background or final videos.

This is must have to have to have completely unique video for backgrounds and super broadcast quality final video without user very complicated and super expensive “big” software.

As you know same stock video is download by many people. So the only way to insure your background is not exactly the same like huge number if people who might use very same background video

There will be 4 categories of filters:

– Visual Effects like: convert video to look like a sketch, convert video to look like a cartoon, apply pixellation effects, convert to black-end-white, and many more.

– Color adjustments: brightness, exposure,  contrast, saturation, gamma, hue, shadows, inversion, highlights, luminosity, photoshop-like levels, color transformation, individual RBG channels, color remap, conversion to greyscale, convert to single color, add or remove haze (similar to a UV filter), sepia, and many more

– Image processing: 2-D or 3-D transformation, crops to a specific region, sharpen, unsharp, blur (whole, only in circular region, or only outside or circular region), tilt shift lens effect, highlight one-pixel-wide edges, draw series of crosshairs to focus attention on certain parts of video, single and multi-color erosion, denoise video, motion blur (directional, non-directional, and zoom), pattern overlay, and many more.

– Blending of 2 sources: dissolve, multiply , additive, subtractive, division, overlay, burn, dodge, screen, exclusion, difference, hard light, soft light, source over, color burn, color dodge, normal, hue, saturation, luminosity, linear, poisson, and many more

2. Explaindio Image FX ( Adobe Air app for both PC and Mac )

Explaindio Image FX will allow you to make almost all you really need for image transformation the easy way without becoming super advanced Photoshop geek (and without buying tons on Photoshop plugins to have all that filers).

Just 1 of photoshop filter plugins could be more expensive them the whole price we plan to charge for that app, and most of all super easy to use. Most people do not have year or more to ready advanced level need to be able to do image FX like would be possible with just a few click with Explaindio Image FX.

This app will allow you to add all filters which are described for Explaindio Video FX plus many more filter which are to slow to process for video, works bad for video, or does not make sense for video.

For example oil-painting-like image  is extremely computationally expensive, so it can take seconds to render a frame which makes it not really usable for video unless somebody wants to wait a day or more to render video on fast machine.

Here are so of effects which will be for image only (on top of all previosly described for video): oil-painting-like image, breaks an image up into colored dots, halftone effect  (like news print), converts into a black-and-white crosshatch pattern,  embossing effect on the image, vignetting effect, refraction through a glass sphere (with inversion and not, and possible  frosting at the edges of the glass) , swirl distortion, bulge distortion, pinch distortion, stretch distortion, and many many more.

3. Explaindio Movie Studio  ( PC, Mac, iOS )

Adobe Air has it’s limitation so it would be impossible to do that app in Adobe Air. Therefore this app is programmed in C++ and will be available for PC, Mac and with iOS version. (not sure if we can do Android version yet since android code must be Java). Most likely the first version of this app will be finished for iOS first.

While Explandio Video Creator does create kick as explainer videos you might need to combine, edit, add FX effect and  filters, hence other app we develop.

Explaindio Movie Studio will allow you to fully edit and finalize your creation.

Here are some of the Explaindio Movie Studio features:

Import video (from HDD on desktop or from camera roll on iOS), Shoot with build in camera, add 2 different types of filters (filters and films), playback in realtime, export your clip to takes view, play your take, rename, delete, send to projects view, create project, rename, delete, import your takes into timeline, everything runs in realtime, clone, trim, delete, add sound FX, add music track, export to movies view, manage all your movie collections, share you movies on Youtube or save to HDD (or to camera roll on iOS).

4. Explaindio Watermark Maker ( Adobe Air app for both PC and Mac ) – app development is almost finished.

This app will allow you to produce transparent PNG file for watermark.

Features:

– add many images and text

– both proportional and non-proportional image re-size

– image rotation

– image opacity setting separate for each image

– support for all system fonts, can use any font installed on your computer

– text colors, sizing with easy to use slider, and rotation

Allow you to convert video not only between format but also between frame rates, bit rates, dimensions etc

Explaindio Video Creator needs mp4 file with 24 frames. For full page background best are 1280×720 or 1980×1080.

6. Explaindio Audio Convert ( Adobe Air app for both PC and Mac ) – app development is close finished.

II. Web services

1. Explaindio Market

The place for video creators to buy video related assets and for video assets creators to sell them.

There will be 6 separate markets for:

– Animated slides

– Graphics

– Video

– Photos

– Animations

– Audio

Each of markets will have categories to better organize content.

Current status: development is almost finished but need testing, bug fixing and tweaking before it will be released.

It is possible that we will also make iOS and Android app to easy shot video or photo and immediately upload to Market for sale directly from mobile device.

2. Xpandio Ad Exchange Market with programmatic bidding on video and non-video ads.

Xpandio Ad Exchange Market will allow Ad Networks, Publishers, and Website Owners to leverage the power of RTB or real time bidding to get the highest CPM for their display, video and mobile inventory. At the same time Advertiser will get the best current price for their video and non-video ads.

We already have in works technical integration with about 1400 biggest external traffic marketplaces including both giants like Google AdX & Double Click, Twitter MoPub,  Yahoo, Microsoft etc , and smaller ad networks.

a) If you are publisher / traffic seller / ad network you be able to sign up as publisher and be paid for displaying on your site with high eCPM. You might add Xpandio ads alongside or instead of google adsense to get paid best eCPM for your traffic.

Even  Ad Tags from Google can leave you with half or less of the advertising revenue your website should actually be making. We will leverage the power of OpenRTB to make sure that many advertisers are bidding on your website’s ad inventory to get you the very highest eCPM possible.

b) if you are advertiser / traffic buyer  you will able open account and immediately get access to all those 1,400 ads network + all independent publisher who sell ads directly on Xpandio Ad Exchange Market

This is the our bigger project to day. We hope to open this site in 2nd quarter of 2015

 c) if you are and affiliate who wants to make commission money from both bringing in publisher and advertiser this would be the only Ad Exchange Market which will pay you % from all money we earn from business you bring to the platform. – New Feature: increased both controls for animated slide length to max 10,000 frames.

– New Feature: Increased max time on all sketch controls for Before and After to 480 frames.

– New Feature: add new frame controller with both slider and – + precision setting to make it both convenient and precise at the same time.  All previous sliders were replaced with new control and also replaced -+ control at bottom of preview window for animated slides.

– Added “Buy Removal” button at bottom right of splash screen.

– Increased minimum screen width to accommodate for new controller under preview screen for animated slides.

– Replaced “Add Image” text with “Add SVG image” as preparation for adding jpg/png images to be sketched in future version.

– Fixed “double hand” which sometimes cause 2 hand appearing on sketch screen.
